I have an 89 944 with 8 way power drivers seat. I cannot lower the back 1/2 of the seat as only the motor by the trans tunnel moves. I am assuming the outside motor probably doesn't work. Has anyone had success tapping on the seat motor while working the switch? Could I swap one of the motors from the 4 way passengers seat? AutoX is Sunday morning and I would love to have some extra height for the helmet. Once I can get it lowered, I really don't need to worry about moving it again because the next step will be replacing the seats.

The switches are a common failure point. May want to rig a jumper lead directly to the motor to check.
