Ohio is usually much lower than the surrounding states. We’re getting killed in Pennsylvania by the sales tax.

650 miles from my home, just a walk in the park... I really want to attend the event this year. Any recommendations on hotels?

Only 1412 miles for Horseshoe Bay Tx. Might as well throw on the knobby's and fallow Patrick up to Ice Station Zebra! Plenty of time to plan I might be able to put this together. Can I bring my dog?

It is just a little 4cyl......if I keep the 944 under 85mph, it does pretty well on gas.

but there is no fun in that.

Shows its about an hour and a half away which is super doable. Now to finish my 944 before 944fest! I'd really love to go this year!

For you long travelers, the record is Beeg who came all the way from Australia to hang out with us. He didn't bring his 944 but wow!
Most of us camp, showers are available at the track, but I don't blame anyone for getting a room.
We are kind of out in the boonies so the nearest hotel is about 15 minutes away.

1) Scheduled the same week as my sierra camping vacation.
2) I'm in SoCal so only 35 driving hours away! Sheesh.
3) Is there a western 944Fest in the offing?

Well if gas prices are still nuts.. think ill bring my streetcar instead of the diesel and an enclosed trailer and the racecar… plus i can do the road rally in comfort! I do love me some 70 mph speed limits in ohio .. so you can pretty much cruise 80.. can do that with those tiny trailer tires!

Cool video, Dan P. Maybe when gas prices drop we’ll make the trek out from central California. Is there any kind of 944 gathering in California?
