Haha hey I'm sure I knew that it was an m6 but I say weird stuff sometimes 😂

Well, I can now definitively say it's an M6 triple square spline bit. This after buying both M5 and M6 so I won't need to make a 25 mile trip to the only local parts place which carries these uncommon bits. So, the Porsche parts book had it right.

BTW, after adjustment for proper fit, about how long are the pins, i.e., how much thread is showing on each shank?
