Default blistering side moulding repaint DIY

My side mouldings on my '88 944 starting blistering, on both sides, about a year ago. Prepping the car for a show, I repainted them over the past couple of days. For those that could benefit from this, here's my DIY.
Steps: Scrape off old paint+primer (most peeled off like a banana, but some required using a plastic razor blade-like tool and/or local sanding), clean with soap & water, dry, sand with 600 grit sandpaper (be careful to shield the body surfaces when sanding the top & bottom edges of the moulding), clean with paint prep solution, tape (carefully), shield car with plastic sheeting, apply adhesion promoter (2 light coats), apply single stage paint (took about 6 coats, but I think I could have applied more paint per coat in hindsight), let dry, remove plastic & tape!
I used AutomotiveTouchup products. Their adhesion promoter as the primer and a single stage top coat. I was able to order single stage paint in Guards Red from them. I'm very happy with the gloss & the color match.

Ugly

Scraping off the old paint (door & front fender portions only)

Ready for painting

Taping

Covered essentially the whole car with plastic sheet... Necessary as the spray particles get 'everywhere'.

Adhesion promoter & paint

Removed sheeting

Final product

Blistering gone

yes, after seeing it like this I did think for a couple minutes to leave them black. But then thought better of it and finished the job.
