Default Drivers door switch

1987 924S my drivers door switch is broken, it is the push button that controls the interior light and key buzzer when the door is open. So I would like to replace it but I need to remove this panel, it has the hood and trunk opener on it. I cannot see any screws, is it glued in? I need to get to the plug on the back of the switch.

This side panel.

Remove the switch from the door jamb side. Recommend disconnecting the battery.

I just replaced mine on my 944 and it was tight and took a little wiggling but the plug came through the opening. I wouldn't think the 924 would be any different.

Default Door switch

If you cannot get the switch through the opening, use a dremel on the opening and enlarge it slightly. It should still be able to be covered by the switch plate. HTH some.
