Default 8J/9J on early offset

Hi everyone! Recently got myself a stock low-mileage 85.5 - so it's early offset. It came with 928 dish wheels with 65 mm offset and old spacers. I don't really like the look of it and plan to remove spacers and install new, more sporty wheels.

I know that one of the factory options was 7j 23.3 mm front and 8j 10.5 mm rear. This sizing is a safe bet, but it also sits a little bit too deep for my tastes. Is it possible to fit 8j 10.5 mm front and 9j 0 mm rear? From what I found here, 9j work on the rear, but I'm not sure about the front. I found one old thread where a guy said it fits with 2 degree negative camber, but there is no info if anyone did that without any adjustments. I also wanted to make it ±0,75-1 inch lower and afraid that it won't be possible with 8j. Has anyone done that?

Thanks.

I recently tried my 8J11 BBS on the front of my early car and it stuck way out past the fender. This is a 15” wheel with a 225/60 tire. Both rubber and wheel metal were sticking out. Looked kind of cool but also kind of silly. Wouldn’t recommend it.

You could do an 8J52 (late offset 944) wheel on the front but would need a 16mm spacer to bring it flush.

@V2Rocket will probably think I'm stalking him since I just replied to him with this pic in a different thread.
Anyways, pictured below are 8j ET15 wheels up front, whole car is lowered about 1.25" and everything fits fine. Huge fender gap in this pic because of the 245/40r15 tires.
Wheels are same front and rear, but with a 1" spacer in back, and it's almost exactly flush. 9j ET0 will probably be pretty similar with no spacer.

Thanks a lot to you both! That's exactly what I tried to find. Great colour by the way

On an early car?
My 8et10 sticks out an inch further than my 7et23, way past the fender. But maybe with different camber, sidewall, and ride height settings it can be made to work.

I have owned half dozen air cooled 911s over the years and I typically have to used a 7mm spacer on the driver’s side rear to keep left and right even.
I currently run a spacer on my 930 and 993 and had it on my 81 SC that I sold couple of years ago.
I probably need to run a 10mm spacer to really even up L & R but would have to go with longer studs.
