Default DME harness wire connection

Anyone know what the wire that is leaning on the dipstick tube connects to? It was just laying next to the engine unconnected when I removed the intake manifold. All other connections are known. Thanks.

Could it be for one of the injectors?

I was gonna say speed or reference sensor plug but I can see those already in the background.

Could also be IACV plug

Thanks for the reply, all injectors accounted for and the idle control is the connector on the left of picture near cylinder head. The one in question is a 2 prong connector.

Tank venting valve? I mostly have detailed info for my S2, so I don't know if your car has that.

I don't know if it will help, but here's an overview of the connectors on the harness: https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-...eadsheets.html

Cheers

Edit: Sorry dlt1, my error...your car does not have a knock sensor.

I’m thinking it’s for the knock sensor which looks to be missing on your car.
