Default 7 inch Bi-LED headlight upgrade.

Has anyone installed a bi-led headlight upgrade? There are several units out there that fit the 944 but I was considering these from Morimoto to bring the lighting up to modern day standards.

I got mine off Amazon. Same size as what fits in older jeep wranglers. So a lot to choose from. They work great. Just have to re aim them as the light pattern is way different.

Hello goblues 38, which headlight upgrade for 944 did you purchase on Amazon? I have a 1985/1 944.

Much improved light output, but they don't look appropriate for the 944 imo.

The Holley RetroBright is the only 7" round LED that looks like it belongs on the car.

pop up headlights for the win. Hidden most of the time. 400% increase in light output beats any looks issues

Morimoto is a good brand. The cheap stuff off amazon usually is less than satisfactory, especially when talking about cutoff and hotspots.

I used their components when I converted to HID
(for anyone interested in HID conversion check out this thread which I used for my own conversion)

Also, anyone wanting a plug and play HID setup check out Dapper Lighting

the ones I listed above are on their third year...once you aim them properly, they work great and have lasted...they work and look like brand new still

maybe somebody has an actual beam shot using those only 944 lights?

I have the only944 lights too, very happy with them (light pattern and all). Haven't taken a photo with them, though, sorry.

I ordered the only944 headlights. Worth a try and great price. I know from experience that it still wont compare to a projector housing. At speed in wooded areas there are animals that come out on a regular basis. Thus I was considering the 7" projector lenses and since daytime the headlights are hidden I prefer modern day sports car performance lighting at night. The difference is significant. Gives you much more confidence in night time driving. I don't think they will look to bad.
