On his Camaro TransAm race car, Mark Donahue installed twin brake calipers on front rotors. The outcome was less braking capability because the rotor temperatures increased above the brake pad maximum operating temperature limit. There was not sufficient air cooling capacity for the rotor and I am assuming the higher temperatures raised the brake fluid temperature above is boiling point temperature.

Also,
Twin front calipers could upset the brake bias front to rear, transferring too much weight to front under braking and causing the front wheels to lock up, tire friction is exceeded.

I don't know of a single one of these 944's that wasn't converted to a single front caliper, of some sort.....except for this particular car.
Many/most of the 962's were also converted.
Since this car is exactly (except for the very last Motronic engine Motorsports made......we have serial #001 of the Kugelfischer engines also) as the first 944 GTR's left Fabcar, it is very proper for it to to have the original pieces (which are extremely valuable to anyone restoring a 962, BTW. The amounts of money that we've been offered for the calipers and centerlock pieces would buy most 934's.)

What car are you all talking about? All i see is that 928 motor in the background
Seriously though, that's just outstanding Greg, I have a couple more 928's now, its starting to get a bit out of hand to be honest...will call you soon for more parts.

They seem to breed.
Watching people interact with the 928's at the Air/Water show was a bit humorous.
The vast majority of the people were horizontally apposed people.
They walked around the 928's like they were dodging dog poop....
