i dont know.. the 928 felt heavier driving it. im not sure at low speed twisties it would handle better.. at 80, ill give you that, it felt alot more sturdy.

Heavier yes, low speed absolutely not.
The trip I make is at speeds more like rally. I kid you not. It's not for the weak at heart. You would have to be there.

ok. who knows. i've just heard alot of people ( guess they are biased here) saying 944's , or should i say , 951's out handle them stock. but i don't know personally. I do know this 928 felt to have less body roll.

No arguement there. 951 is a great car. Just a different feel. I can't exactly discribe the handleing feel I have ,I just feel VERY confident going into a corner with the 928 knowing it will not break loose unless I lose it. It's one of those deals where you learn to push the car harder and harder and to tell you the truth I give up on my nerves before the car does. Does that make sense to you?

Then how come I have never seen a 928 at any of our local autocross events?

Maybe what you mean is that you can drive a 928 at the limits a little better and with more confidence. That doesnt necessarily mean that the 944 series is any worse of a handler. All i know is that when i test drove the 928, i didnt feel as connected to the road, nor was it quite as nimble (obviously, because of the weight difference).

Also, weight distribution was mentioned earlier, and how is it measures (with how much fuel in the tank...this makes a huge difference). Im curious because i have an extra 40 pounds in the rear hatch from my tool box.
