Default new member! Carbon Fiber One (CF1)

Hello! My name is Jacob Shin and I am the VP of sales at Carbon Fiber One (CF1). (Out of respect for the vendors of this great community I won't be posting any of our company's contact info until we have vendor status.) We have been in the composite industry for 20+ years and have capabilities ranging from wet lay-up to vacuum bagging and autoclaving. We have full access to CAD/CAM designers & OEM diagrams, CNC machined tooling, and our reputation in the industry has allowed us to get the lowest material cost in our region.

We currently manufacture a few items for the Porsche community and we are working to expand our product line. I have been searching through the forum to see what kind of carbon fiber, carbon kevlar, and fiberglass needs you all had for a while now, and after reading through numerous threads, I thought it'd be good to get your direct input. Please let me know if you have any suggestions on OEM replicas, custom ideas, discontinued parts, etc, etc. Your input will heavily influence the next few items we put into production!

If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me!

You saved your *** by saying you will be getting a sponsorship, or else yopu would have been flamed so bad by this lovable bunch!
I think a carbon fiber sun roof, carbon fiber door panels, carbon fiber dash maybe would be great products, price pending of course.

We are all looking forward to a CF dash kit for 944. Priced around $50.

Something the N/A guys have been wanting for quite a while is a lip/splitter that fits the non-turbo/S2 front valence. That might be a good product to look in to.

The 924/944/968

They all use the same parts for those parts he listed. (ok pre-85.5 & post-85.5 use a different dash, but the sunroof & door panels are interchangeable).

I personally would like to see a carbon hood, carbon Cup mirrors (968 style) and a carbon 968 Turbo RS wing.

hope you make em!

edit: the hood would fit any 924 or 944, the mirrors and wing would fit any 924, 944 or 968 and I bet there would probably be a big market for these!

This forum has a repuation for doing big "group buys" to get cheaper prices.

Group buys with products at a significantly discounted rate are a great way to sell your product.

One thing to remember though, this is a 944 forum, not a 996 forum. Products above the $300 range will not be hot sellers.

I agree with Paul, the 968 Turbo RS Wing is expensive over here in the US, and if you import it its just a pain. A CF hood would be a real hit i would think, the stock ones weigh like 80 lbs i think! And mirrors too!

Good Luck to you guys!

hey mark,
i was able to find a pic of the 968 turbo wing and it's definitely something we can do.

and this is the 968 turbo hood, correct?

put the vents in this hood?

if we did, would the vents be functional or not? would it be open to just blow cold air into the engine bay?

can you give me more specifics on the FG 968 "rear"

that is an NA 944, were talking vents for the turbo 944, it would be more functional for the turbo, though the NA will be able to use the hood.
