Escrow is not really needed (unless it makes you feel better), you know it's the same seller so act accordingly. If you would have purchased from the seller under the old name then do it now, if not, don't do it now. Odds are, nothing's changed but the name.
I have 2 Ebay accounts, when I set up the second one I did something wrong (typo in the email address I think) and it didn't go through (never got the confirmation email). When I tried again it said the name was in use and wouldn't let me have it (because I had selected it, but was unable to access it) so I picked something similar (alternate spelling) and after 30 days I was able to switch my name back to my first choice). Point is, there are a lot of reasons the name might have been changed, some are legit (mine is, IMHO) some are less legit (to erase a bad rep), in most cases the feedback follows the user and is no less valid than it was under the original name. Use the feedback as it was intended.

I've ordered a few items via ebay and and quite a few on the side through email requests. Through conversation, she said she quit her job to start selling full time on ebay. (What a job!!) She seemed honest enough and I haven't ever had a problem with her and will continue to buy.

Partwerks has never given me trouble, but I think the most expensive thing I've bought was about $60.

If they charge about 3x what the shipping actually costs, then yes, it is probably partwerks. I noticed that a few weeks ago too.

I used them once...but not again. If there's a mistake (on their part) it's hard undoing it. I was never able to. Maybe I just have bad karma?

One time i did business with them, it took 4 weeks to get the "In stock" parts, even though they said in week 2 that they had shipped. Nice thing is i finally got the parts and the following week the same shipment came to me, and i was only charged once. I may have sold them on ebay to pay for the first round of parts

Yes , Blonnde is the old partwerks . I have been around this board for many yrs now and have come to know quite a few of you. Helped some of you when you were down , So I'm going to call a few favors in if you allow me. Jays wife Kathy ( she does all the email ) is in bad shape right now in and out of the hospital with Chrones disease and it is progressing. Jay called me the other night and I won't say what he was thinking about if he possibly loses Kathy nor what he was contemplating doing himself. So I asking you guys to go easy on him till he gets things sorted out. I not saying to buy from him , just understand if it comes to a business or your wife whats your choice ? And pray for her recovery. Thanks EG

I don't have a problem with this seller, and would continue to buy. I hope things go well for him and his.

sad indeed

yet they have time keep adding new eBay items (over 500 items listed right now)...and they continue to take our PayPal payments

and the blondde (Kathy Tangorra) I spoke to a couple of months back said she quit partwerks and went out on her own

which obviously was not the truth

so I'll believe it when they refund:

$151.75 for item 7913977612
$107.40 for item 7936406182

or the items are delivered
