Thanks for the link.
The good: the car was bought the day after my birthday.

The bad and ugly, all rolled into one: I could tell from looking at the front of the frame that the car that it ran into something long ago but it was fixed really well. It turns out that whatever happened was enough to total it back in 1990. Of course, today was the day that I took the head into the shop to be fixed.



The bright side: is it cheaper to insure a car with a salvage title? Maybe carfax was... wrong? (1/1,000,000 shot there...)

You still need a carfax? sorry didn't see this before. Would have loved the chance to help you out. Thanks again for offering to check out the 968 with me. Went to dealer and saw maintenance records with PO's phone number on them. called him and found car had some problems. Opted to by an '87 944S instead. Let me know if you still want VIN run.
