Quid is slang for British Pound (currency)

1500 pounds GBP = $2917.34 USD at this afternoons rates.

What is BitTorrent?

BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer protocol for distributing files. It makes use of the upstream bandwidth of every downloader to increase the effectiveness of the distribution as a whole, and to gain advantage on the part of the downloader. On average, the faster you upload to your peers, the faster you will be able to download. For more details about BitTorrent, see the FAQ, or the protocol specification for the technically-minded. First things first, though: get yourself a BitTorrent client. There are many to choose from: the official BitTorrent client, the more advanced BitTornado, and the multi-torrent frontends ABC and Azureus.

Instead of a conventional peer-to-peer setup, bit torrent takes a "piece" of the file being downloaded from each of many peers. This makes the download faster, gives redundancy to the system, and makes uploads less of a drain on each peer. It works very well.

The single biggest problem being that a torrent link only lasts a couple of weeks or so depending mostly on it's popularity.

But yeah.. the vid is awsome. anyone seen it yet?

I love the 928 doing burnouts and the 924 & 944 flying around the track. the bit where the 928 starts leaking fluids is hilarious!

i'm 40% done with 1 hr 30 min left @ 20 kbs... so is this program a safer way to get p2p music, if one were to do such a thing?

or is this used mainly for gigantic files like this one?

it's used for anything and everything.

The trick is finding a source for torrents... but that could lead to some subjects that are taboo in this forum. So lets not go there...

Woops nevermind a little large. I can do an email to people if they want, not as an attachment, but using yousendit.com i believe it is
