Default I can't avoid it any longer, the S2 is for sale.---SOLD!

This has been a very hard decision but my 944S2 is officially for sale.
I’ve been going back and forth on this for a few months and I find I have no choice. It’s a purely financial decision. I really love the car and hate to see it go but I have to do what I have to do.

Most of you know the car but for those who don’t, click on the link in my signature.
I’ll have an ad in the Rennlist classifieds that lists what has been done to the car in more detail.
Mileage is currently around 178K. The car has a minor oil leak that is more annoying than anything else. Those are the only downsides to this car. Everything else is great.
All maintenance is up to date and all records are included. The car has 17” Porsche 993 Cup wheels. The Kahn wheels in the sig pic were sold months ago.
I’m asking $9500 OBO. I have about $14K in it. This car needs nothing but someone to enjoy it.
I’d prefer that this car goes to a Rennlister, If it doesn’t sell in 30 days I’ll have to put it on Ebay.

You have a great car Pete. I know the heart ache that comes from having to make a hard financial decision. Best of luck, I'm confident you will get what you need.

Nooooooooooooo!!!

Is there no way we can just make contributions to you to help? I'd gladly send you a few bucks to help out and keep that car in your deserving hands than someone else's. C'mon guys, let's help the man out.

Thanks for the concerns but it has to go. I'll get another Porsche eventually.

Damn.

Sorry to hear it Pete. I know it has to be hard and I'm confident you wouldn't come to such a decision taking it lightly. Do what you have to do for you. The hardest part is letting go. Ultimately it's just a car and you'll have other opportunities. Good luck to you. I hope you get what you need and are able to look forward instead of backwards.

Any idea what you plan to replace it with?

I'm sorry to see it go Pete. I wish I had the money for that one. I always loved that car - she's very photogenic!

Geez, sorry Pete. Your car is one of the top five I admire on this site. If it was on this side of the border I would seriously consider.

I have to pay $17.95 a year to be a moderator!

I'll still be around and I will get another Pcar but for now, I need to elimnate debts and the S2 is expendable.

I was floored when I saw this thread...
Pete, I'm really sorry to see this happen. I think everyone in the 944 forum, even all of Rennlist are all aware of how amazing your car is, and how much of an asset you are to this community.
I've always followed you and your stories ever since I found rennlist, including the heart-wrenching ones in the past few months.
I'm confident a Rennlister will step up and claim your fantastic car and give it the love it needs.

Good luck with everything Pete,
Brendan
