Default Any intrest.. 954 possibly FOR SALE

As much as I'd hate to sell it, money is not looking so hot for me. I have rougly 15K into this car including the swap and original purchase price of 2K. It sucks, I highly doubt I'll get half of what is in this car, 3 yrs in the making and still not ready for the first oil change since finishing it. Most of you know the story and details. Any intrest in it? I'm not even sure what it is worth, so I don't know what to ask.

Damn, not you too.

I hope you can find a way to keep her. I know what it means to you but I know exactly what you're going through.

Good luck buddy.

I'll post the details, I'm sure that there will be others asking soon enough...

88 NA with an 87 951 motor, 86 951 trans.

New..belts, rollers, water pump, every seal and gasket, rod bearings and nuts. 17" turbo twists(aftermarket) with Yokohama AVS dBs on the rear, Bridgestone RE71s on the front both good tread, fronts showing dryrot a little tho. Satin black paint, black interior with Porsche script seats. The Racers Group carbon fiber hood, Fiberwerks nose. Rear turbo lower valance, GT-Racing headlight conversion. Weltmeister 250# front springs. stock rear T-bars lowered with the ecentric bolts. Na brakes, rebuilt with good pads. New Turbo Cup clutch. Weltmeister harness bar. Momo steering wheel. All new radiator hoses. The 87 951 motor has 87K on the clock and a new wide fire ring head gasket. etc etc etc...

I don't want to sell this car, I know there's alot of stuff I'd give up first(like my extensive pile of parts), any extras outside of cars, my soul, get a second job or two. But this is my biggest thing to sell, so I'm checking for intrest. Like I said, the car is a bit less than a stock 951 and not worth as much due to that. I won't let it go too cheap, it would be slitting my throat. For anything less than half what is into it, I'd rather drive it into a bridge and take it with me. I'll be making a parts list soon I guess. Thanks for any intrest.

I almost hope no one will offer you what you need; I'd hate to see you part with it. However, I know what it's like being in a financial crunch. Good luck.

I too hope no one has the money that it's worth. If I quit smoking(which I should anyway) and skip a few meals, I'm in no danger of losing anything. Selling the car would free up about 200 bucks a month(woohoo) and make life easier. Right now I'm looking at about 60-100 bucks a month for lunch, smokes and gas, not enough. Living comfortably, hmm, not the phrase for me, atleast not currently.

I keep trying to make a parts list, everything I see as a seller, I see as needing it for one of the 5 944s in the family including a 330K mile daily car of mine that I hope to see 500K miles in.

Quitting smoking should be a no brainer IMHO...

Why not just sell some of the misc stuff from it thats not totally needed? The twists should bring in some money.

I quit drinking, I now smoke enough to make up for my drinking problem. I've tried to quit about 4 times a year for about the last 6-7 years, I just smoke more when I start back up after about 2 weeks. The car stays as is unless I sell it. I have other parts to sell that are not on the car. See my other post. That is an idea tho. Hmmm

After regretfully parting with several guitars in the past, I've learned never to part with anything that's become a part of you. Cars included....even if I have to eat only Ramen to make the payments.
Hell..I've always said "If I'm going to be poor, I'm going to do it in style"
FWIW, I was homeless and lived in my first 924 for several months.

Hey,I've been reading about all of the $$ trouble some of you are having,so just a suggestion, post you qualifications here so, just maybe, one of us know or can send you in a direction that could help.I once saw and ad for a cabinet sales manager that i sent to someone here, nothing came of it,but at least it was a shot that you may not have had.Think about it!!!
