Default Greaseslingers.... Drivetrain drop (or pull?)

OK guys, I've gotten more done on my car in the last month than the last year (helps having a shop). My car is approaching readiness to drop the gearbox and torque tube and either drop or pull the engine. I've got almost all the harness connections disconnected, the intake and other stuff off. By this weekend I will have the exhaust off and starter out

Sooooo.......

I'd like to have a drop/pull GTG sometime in the relatively near future. I'm really flexible regarding the date. I've got plenty to do to the shop and my partner's car (we're going to install his cage soon I hope).

So, who might like to help and when?

We don't have the AC in the shop area yet (not sure of the ETA), but we have AC in the office, a water cooler, a fridge (stocked with Shiner), a stereo, as well as whatever tools we'll need.

So who is in?

I'm in - just not this weekend. Load of "tools" due in from Grizzly Saturday morning - and then I gotta find a place to put them all (a thinly veiled tool gloat).
AC not needed if there is Shinner in the fridge!

Dude, I may be at your place this weekend if Griz is dropping off tools. :-)

OK OK, I should clean my garage and get my woodworking shop back to operational.

So what are you getting?

I might be available George. This coming weekend is out. I may be ok with the one after though.

Do you need my transmission jack?

I'll need directions, but I'm pretty sure I'll be free for the next week or so. Just PM me some directions and a time and I'll be there...

Oh, just a little bandsaw (17" G0513) and a cyclone (2HP G0440). The jointer (8" G0586) is on backorder and won't be in until mid August.

Holy cats Keith! Those are some serious woodworking tools. I have tool envy. So when are you getting the planer? I've got a pretty complete shop, but I really need to get a bandsaw. My problem is I want a metal cutting bandsaw now.

Well..... the weekend after the upcoming one may be on. I'm supposed to be at a Team in Training meeting on Saturday. Anybody up for Sunday? I could bail on TNT since Kerry will be there, but I'd prefer being there. I may also have my sister in town that weekend. I'll know soon. Actually, if my sis is in town, the weekend after would be better for me.

Although it doesn't sound like it, I can be flexible.

Doesn't sound like you know anything!

Planer - sorry, had to whimp out there. Went with the 13" DeWalt DW735.

It's already in the shop/garage. I'll upgrade to a 20" if I decide I like all this stuff hanging out and taking up space that a 911 could have fit in.

We're getting closer and closer to the birth of my second, so the sooner the better for me, but I think I can do that weekend as well...

Let me check in with my sis and Kerry to see if that will work out. Does anybody have a problem with doing it on Sunday if need be?

Hey Wes - family over Porsches ALWAYS. One's a car and the other ain't! Looking forward to meeting you, hope you can make it down (whenever Geo decides on a date - hint - hint).

I'm fine for a Sunday. Might actually work out better.
