Ashton, that's no fun. Best of luck to you my friend... I hope you'll get another one, and it'll be as nice as this one was. good luck with the parting, may you get the money needed.

Also, glad you're OK.

I'm going to stay away from the early cars since this was a late one...different interiors, suspension...but yeah, possibly in the future we can find a shell that needs drivetrain and move things over.
I'm really glat that Campeck and passenger are OK. Hope I never have to deal with that sort of situation. At my age it could cause a major seizure! And even more seriously, damage the car!!!!!!!!!!!
I managed to get agreed value insurance on my car for about $AUD500 (with a $1500 excess) Most companies hear Porsche and dont hear the rest!WTF! It's 21 years old!!!
Get Ashton back in a vehicle, please. The few times we have responded to each others posts, went well. Seems like a nice kid.
And, lastly, sorry about the car!

Whoa.
Sorry to see that Campeck but at least you're ok.
I know what it's like to pour your heart and soul into a car.

It woulda stayed under control if it had belt covers.

Ashton, I know I have poked fun at you in the past but trust me you will get over it. I took a Caprice Classic into a wall at a touch over 90 mph when I was about your age. I thought my parents would kill me (nevermind the Government since they owned the car). Save for a little sore parts, some really bad ribbing from my friends, it got better with time. Just be glad you are okay. And since I cant resist poking a little fun...at least there was no fire

Aribop - I might be willing to part with my Turbo shell less engine and trans if you like (or complete if you want to finish putting the engine together) since it appears I am not going to have the time to mess with it for a while.

Matt, thanks for the offer but I think at this point it would be better to stay away from a turbo.

I don't know if this has been mentioned already, but Uranium235 has a very good looking '83 944 project for $1500 on this forum. The main issue is the engine, the body looks fine.

Hey Ashton I found this on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1987-...QQcmdZViewItem

It doesn't look half bad. I'm sure can dig up another power driver seat or use the switch off of your other seats on it....OR.....you can save up and get a set of Sparco Sprints or Revs

951 on ebay:

Or if you would like to try and jump in the shark tank with the rest of us 928 owners:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1983-...QQcmdZViewItem

Anyone tells you that an auto 928 is slow, have them answer to me, I'll be sure I'll take them on a ride fast enough to **** and **** their pants, then make them lick it off my seat
