Default Yesterday, one new car, one dead car... pics

Yesterday I picked up an '05 GTI 1.8T... I like it!
An idea was brought up to go drive around, weather wasn't really cooperating and I guess you can see how so.
Day started pretty good, we took a few pics as the rain started, then started heading home.
Came around one corner - actually going the speed limit! Ashton was behind me, and I guess got some oil on the road... Everyone was ok! He got a little sideways and it seemed like the angle/tilt of the road kept him from getting it straight again. Went off sideways, got a sign with the drivers door, and then backwards into the ditch/trees.

I usually find that a bit of a bank makes an easier drift. That sucks though, atleast everyone is ok.

Yeah, it had just rained for a few minutes and the road was slick...
tedwright - lol, but believe it or not we were actually moving at a calm pace.
Chris - yea, everyone was fine, I was in the GTI... He and his friend had a small climb, but no one was hurt at all.

I believe in the safety factor of these cars. It's amazing what they can take and still protect the occupants.

CampNeck? I had that Sunday until driving Marty's car.

Oh, I believe it alright. I saw a video where he did exactly the same thing, only he was able to pop that dent out. Something tells me he is going to be looking for a new car this time. . . .

Looks brutal...
But Porsche safety means you last....
Try that in PA and you would be thankful for those trees....
For those with the Vulture ideas.
