AAAACK! Looks like Guido is back!

Don't forget valve work and exhaust, but that will push you over your $2000 budget...

Or you could sell the 944 and buy a 944S with 188 hp......

Head over to the dyno and do a baseline run. Get some quantitative evidence for us about how much the mods really make. The ol' butt dyno is often overly optimistic

Nothing you do will overtax the NA engine - that's the same engine that is in my car. It is good for 500 RWHP with proper tuning.

I think this is the right answer for you guido#2...

Just make sure you don't loose a floorboard or get any "DANGER TO MANIFOLD" warning messages on your laptop in the passenger's seat!

Seriously though, thats about the cheapest/easiest way to get 20hp out of a non-turbo.

I was suprised to see a Mustang make 8whp with just a pully change. So I guess anything is possible with the 944. Problem is, this Mustang is used for racing and the alternator does not spin fast enough at idle to power much.

Actually, pulleys technically make zero hp. But on an inertial dyno like the dynojet they will show up as an increase in hp because of the reduced inertia. Most cars I'm familiar with net around 7-8 hp on a dynoject. No reason the 944 shouldn't do the same.
