Whatever Tifo. . .

If someone puts neon or flames or spinners or 50" plasma screens on their car it's an invitation to criticism. If they do so and then try to claim it's a race car, it's even MORE of an invitation to criticism.

Seriously, if I or anyone else on here had done the same, you'd be first in line flaming my *** off for it - why you defending this guy? He your cousin or something?

If he has the "*****" to install such stuff on his car and then publicly brag about it, then he ought to have the ***** to take the responses for it. . .

And BTW there's nothing linking that post to me, Rennlist, or anyone else here.

Hey, you're going to my Alma Matter. How's the football team looking this year? I've lost track of too much with now that I'm on the other side of the country. Walt Harris is still coaching, right?

If you're a freshman and you haven't been to Antoon's Pizza yet, go. And of course there's Dave and Andy's ice cream. If you play disc golf, the course in Schenley Park is pretty nice too.

Lol, yeah I have been to antoon's and dave and andy's a million times. Acutually my gf's best friend works there so I get free Ice cream all the time. I love college in a big city.

Moron. Stick to bashing SUV's and talking out your azz. You seem to be good at that. BTW, you know nothing about cycling and bicycle racing, so quit chiming in on my discussions about the same. Please sell your car(s) soon so that you can relieve Rennlist of your over-opinionated drivel. BTW, I sent him this link so he can see who the real dolt is.

I guess that my guess was right. It was you.

Just an opinion, but I think at the next national GTG we should put tifosiman and Porsche-O-Phile in those huge sumo suits and watch the fun!

(Kidding to both of you)

Kudos to Joe P and Lynn for bearing in mind the one underlying fact in their "suggestions" to our boy over there: We were ALL young and ignorant once (take one look at Campy's avatar if'n you need proof- GREAT "proper" use of the car there, Ashton). That whole ridicule-those-who-are-unenlightened/ uncool smacks of elitist bull**** better reserved for the R Groupies and jockhead bullies. Joe and Lynn seem to be the TRUE keepers of the Rennlist spirit in that they tried to enlighten this mislead sheep to the amazing things about the 944 they've come to appreciate and enjoy.

The car isn't THAT riced out. ****, back in high school, Bazooka bass tubes and Enkei's were all the rage, even if my hot rod didn't have them. My dad was a cool old hot-rodder, so I had LOTS of guidance. Hell my 14 year old Honda (rice free) has got something most classic 911's and probably a LOT of 944/951's don't: COLD, working A/C! The 924/944/968 was not and will never be the single greatest car in automotive history (althought a 968 Turbo S might be up there ). It's not a friggin' RSK Spyder or a Cobra Daytona.

Well hey guys, i am the owner of the 924s you have been talking about, usually you can find me at 924board.org, but i just recently bought a 85.5 944 and had a few questions about the cat, and was thumbing around here and saw this thread and to my suprise, wow you people are either nice, or jack asses. sorry to be so blunt but of course you havn't been so quite about the way you talk about me or my car. i live in st. louis, and just graduated from high school, and as you know i had a senior project and decided to work on my car. now i could have worked on my 93 ford escort rust bucket, but really now where would have been the thrill in that! you may think that my car is "rice" well actually i despise techno and rap. i only enjoy rock, and the only reason i decided to add neons is because i wanted to learn more about wiring and actually because it would allow me to work on the car more, and that is fun for me. thats really all i enjoy to do. there is a difference between 44's and 24's, 44's are much more attractive and gain much more attention, and as a 18 year old kid, (btw i'm not the fat kid in the pics welding, in all i had 3 friends helping me) i wanted to be noticed soo neons seemed to be my best bet, besides i think they look cool and if you saw i know u'd enjoy them too. its just something fun for me to play around with OK? now back to the project, of COURSE i know that this car isn't designed for drag racing, and YES i know its hard on it, but lets see, the project was to see a difference in hp/torque and to SEE improvements. racing around a track makes it much harder to see, and as we all know these cars dont respond to anything u do performance wise unless u got LOTS of money besides nos, so u cant expect me to go boosting nos around a track three times now can u! that would hurt the engine just a little bit more that a 15 second drag DONT U THINK! as to burn outs, i over exaderated for my friends looking at the site. do u see any smoke coming from the tires? HMMM?????? what i WAS doing was peeling out in a puddle of water! you guys take things way too far. and those of you guys who are nice rennlisters you are correct, i do NOT drag anywhere but the strip, in fact, the only time i do use nos is at the drag strip, which i have been to a total of 3 times! which brings me to a total of 7 drags, and only 5 of which were using nos. and i could bet that i am a lot nicer to my 24 than half of u are to ur 44's. also i appreciate what some of u have said about how to help me with racing, (btw i have already decommitioned my 924 from the drag strip because i know that it is hard on it...it really pisses me off that you guys would say so many mean things without even talking to me about it, i guess some of you just enjoy putting other people down for trying to do something cool with their car unlike urselves.) with the weight reduction and everything, but i really didn't worry about it because i wasn't so serious about racing this car. it was all done just to learn more about it and have a good time. and i did learn a lot, and NO someone was not holding my hand while at the dyno. looking at the sheet and realizing just how lean she ran with the nos, I checked all the hoses and found that the fuel pressure line had blown off, i didn't know when but it was taken care of as well as the nos nozzles, because blah blah just read what i have to say on my website... i think i've covered everything that you guys have bashed, i really wish i could have had a better welcoming here at rennlist when i got a 944 of my own, but then again the guys at 924board.org did warn me about you. anyways if you guys are interested (you guys bash the car but i know that you are interested none the less, why else would u try so despreately to pump ur ego's up when taking a look at my car?) dont hesitate to ask, and also, for those of you who want to impart your knowledge and help me out please do, i love these cars. also one more question, why are u bashing me when there are others putting v8's and body kits on there's?

Mav, we actually DO tend to bag on the V8 crowd. Same for the pimped out, Yo MTV body kitted cars. Kudos to you for keeping it on the racetrack and off the street.

But along with Joe and Lynn, I'd still say you'd be blown away by what a new set of Koni yellows and some new bushings would do for your car on an Auto-X course. Then you can apply your same experiment to that. What changes in ride height can do for a lap time. How much time a cheap strut brace can save you. How big of a difference 3# of tire pressure can make. And so on...

Anycow; look, ask, SEARCH, and learn. Rennlist is an amazing place with some really cool folks, not to mention a source of info you cannot begin to fathom. Stock/ concours, wild to mile street rides, bastard rat racers, uber rockets, and realized dreams. Welcome to the 'List.

Well said and well done Mavfan!!! Keep working and trying to make your 924S and your new-to-you 944 faster! And you're right, if they want to say something rude, they should say it to your face!
