Typical Ricer...

underglow, NAWS, "should I add a turbo?" never tightened the timing belt, and doesn't know how to drive other than in a straight line. that's the sh*tty thing about how cheap these cars are...sometimes they fall into the wrong hands...

HAHAHAHAHA read what he wrote about the dyno runs with an unrestricted exhaust! I bolded the funny/stupid parts.

Then on the second run (Red) something EXTREMELY weird happened. We opened the Exhaust Cut-Out for a free flow type exhaust (still without NOS) and we LOST 35hp and 37lbs of torque!! This was a horrible setback for our project. It means that since we had the exhaust open for the drag races at Gateway, we were loosing more than 30hp and torque! For anyone who does not know, gaining 30hp from a performance mod is extremely sought out! So all it means is that if we have time we have to cut out the exhaust cut-out and reinstall normal piping. So our effort and time was a waste... But it does mean more time at the drag strip to get the new 1/4 mile times, so its not that horrible!

DUUUUUUUHHH!!!

hahaha, the 30hp loss with the exhaust bypass was funny. I want to see if his engine lasts with the n20, and if his tranny lasts with the burnouts.

he may still have hope.... atleast he is testing the outcomes of what he does. Sure, he may be learning everything from the kids who hang out at taco bell, but he is unlearning it to (he put the exhaust back).

Didnt everyone go through that stage?

Top speed of 136 with govenor, but a new chip replaced it and 140-150 is expected w/o harming engine.
governor? and what does top speed do to an engine?
being in 2nd gear at 5k and flooring it is the same as 5th gear at 140mph. no difference to the engine.

Even though the 924s will pay the price, he does see to be learning. He either figured out (or was told) his lean condition during his dyno's and the harmful potential. Even though he did the right thing and replaced the cut-out, I wonder if understood why he lost ~25% of his horsepower? I have a feeling it's probably his shop teacher clueing him in on his problems, but anyway.

His 924s is the exact same as mine, even down to the interior, except mine has chromed phone dials. Well, his stock version anyway. It's still for sale, by the way.

There aren't enough "Rennlisters" to "save" all the 944s. Theres just too damn many, especially crappy ones.

I dont think you should flame him - at least hes putting some thought into it and not simply glueing on bodykits. Before you judge, ask yourself, could you install a Nitrous system this minute?

Second, can you weld?

Well, there is actually. You spend a lot of TIME near redline in 5th gear because acceleration isn't nearly as rapid.

Pretty sweet HP/TQ numbers on that last run. Drag racing with a 924s isn't that cool though. . .. . .
