Default Altinator lug gauge?

Im need the gauge size of the big lug on the altinator. The entire back is corroded. The back of the altinator protector looked disconnected (like it was never put back on?). Im ok with the smaller lug, I just need the larger one now.

thanks,

This is a more complicated item than you think. A 5/16" eyehole will work fine. If you are clipping the old end off the original cable, that is 16mm square cross section. This is a little less than a #5 AWG cable (16.8mm) so you probably need to go with a #4 AWG terminal, which is 21.1mm. I don't think you will find #5 gauge terminals very easy. #4 is a little big but crimp it on and solder. You should be OK.

Or try and find a 16mm terminal in the USA. Good luck on that project without getting the most expensive terminal known to man.
