Need 3.0 crank or Hybrid here I come!!
The machine shop thought the crank would be fine. Once the rod bearings were remove from the journal it became apparent that the crank is a too damaged.
So my options are to find a 3.0 S2 crank (really cheap) or install the LT1.
smmbeech - I just bought a head gasket kit.
I was hoping to keep the 3.0 motor. Even with a good crank it was going to cost more to keep the 3.0 than install the Chebby motor.

Otherwise - I'll have some very good S2 engine parts to sell - everything but a good crank, rods, block, head, pistons etc
