Question What's a '77 Martini 924 worth?

I know very little about these cars. Just that there were only 1500 brought to the U.S. and had special paint and interior. Were there any engine/suspension upgrades?

My new neighbor is having his brought in from his previous home and might be willing to sell it. All I know is that it runs, has high miles, body is in fair shape, interior is in good shape and the leather seats are near perfect.

What are the price ranges from fair to good condition for these cars?

I'm guessing the range is $1000 to $4000 for 924s. $4000 reserved for low mile specimens.

A good condition Martini has got to be worth more than $1k - $4k, I have never seen one on the road, on TV, or at a dealership, Only in books. I really have no Idea as to value, but it would definetly bring a premium over a regular 924. Pics Please.

He is brining it back in about a month from now. I'll post pics when it gets here. I have never seen one in person either. It would be neat to have for historical purposes. However, my wife seems to think that owning one Porsche is more than adequate. Where do they get such ideas?

The Martini version wouldn't be worth much more than a regular 924 na if it's got higher miles like that one. If it's a decent example of a 924 regardless 2,000-2,500, 3,000or up are usually for very well taken care of 924's. The only differences between the regular 924 and the Martini are:

"The E19 option which signified the car as a Martini Rossi included:

White rims
Scarlet pile carpet
426 Special Model World Champ
404 Front and rear sway bars
432 Lateral stripes Martini
565 Leather steering wheel
568 Tinted windows and heated rear glass"

-from the 924.org site.

I have a full set of the carpet in my basement right now and can only imagine that if his car is high mileage then the carpet in that car is going to look rubbish, probably all faded to pink. It is an old car, so likely will have rust, dull paint and faded stripes, which were decals.
