I'm not an expert or anything, but it might look better if you clean the leaves and pine needles out of the engine bay. Spray the corroded/oxidized metal in engine bay with some WD40. Then take the picture.

Unless of course, you're being entirely honest and advertising that the car has been sitting outside and not run for a while.

Thanks fo for the tip...

not trying to make it something it's not. It's run but not driven....and YES...it's been sitting here in my driveway for a LONG time. 3 years ago we had micro-premies...one was very ill...spent lots of time in the hospital and passed away....the car sat during that time....and now I have an S2...so it' continues to sit. Not trying to paint a picture of anything other than the truth.

Looks so familiar... I couldn't get anyone to buy mine the way it was before (cosmetic problems everyewhere) so I just got it repainted semi-professionally. If the reserve isn't met, I suggest you do a few things before listing it again:

1. remove the dark rock chip guards in front of the rear wheels
2. on the panels with original color, try something like Meguire's colorX to remove oxidation, and wax the car
3. mention the factory alarm
4. try tire shine on the tires and the spoiler

even though it's got some major cosmetic flaws, making the rest of the car look nice can still help raise its desirability.

Thanks for the offer Mark...if it get's to that point, I'd probably slap the cookies back on...remove the radio, sunshade, sunroof bag, reinstall the original seats and donate the car to charity. Then sell the seats, sunshade, sunroof bag, and phonedials on ebay!

best

Joe
