Default wont start

Ok wrong place to ask this because this isn't a porsche but bear with me.

Fuel pump works, there is spark, air flow meter works...car turns but wont start, it sounds like its JUST about to but just cant do it. Need some ideas...

ahh so what are we workin on then? maybe its the crank sensor? had that happen to me.

thats a helluva long way from a porsche, but yeah could be the crank sensor, i had that go out in my nissan king cab same deal, turn over but no start-no matter how much i hit it or swore at it.
