Default 88 951 ground wire attachment mystery

I have the head off my 88 951 and noticed one of the brown factory ground wires hanging unnattached - can't find the (missing) terminal anywhere. The main battery ground cable is attached at the bellhousing, along with 2 other brown grounds near that same location. This one comes out of the wiring harness bundle and appears to terminate somewhere under the intake manifold. Any ideas as to where this wire should be attached? Thanks in advance!!

I hope the attachment came thru...

Could be the knock sensor wire. If its really skinny, which it doesnt look like, it might be the wire for the turbocharger water pump. Do you have a better pic by chance?

All accessories work fine - including the turbo water pump. This appears to be the same size as the other 2 brown ground wires. I don't have a better pic, unfortunately.

This wire comes from the wiring harness bundle which passes through the firewall.

Should be the same spot as the other two brown wires. But as long as its attatched to the block its the same thing.

It didn't appear to be able to reach the location at the back of the engine/bellhousing, but then I don't know how much of the wire is missing. Good point, however, in that the block is pretty much all one ground. Thanks!

That is the knock sensor harness.

If you looked closely, or strip the brown insulation off, you shall see some insulation, then two other wires hidden inside it, which connect to the sensor itself.

Does you're car run a bit sluggish while on boost? feels like someone just clogged the intake?
