An ABSOLUTELY incredible thread....
I guess it's time for an update from Jen's and my end....
PROJECT RENNWISH INC is now a recognized Corporation, noted, filed, accepted and now a bonafide Corporation. In the next few days, we will be filing for our permanent status as a 501c3 under IRS guidelines.
Jen's and my best to ALL of you in this thread - and our warmest wishes!!
John

Scott gave us the latest update on Jim today. Please keep him and Candy in your prayers.
MEDICAL UPDATE:
We need everyone to pull together their best, most positive thoughts for Jim and send them along right now. Jim has had a medical "episode" and the Doctors are currently evaluating his condition before they can take action. The short story is that he wound up in the hospital in Loc Cruces on Sunday and they suspect that he may have had a heart attack and artery/vein problems in his abdomen which was causing him severe pain. Due to his diabetes (and I am sure cancer isn't helping), the Dr's are somewhat limited as to treatment options and are waiting for him to stabilize.

Candy sent me another update.
For those who don't know. Jim had a mutiple bypass a few years ago.
--------------- From Candy -------------------
Thanks for sending this out. Well, they did the arteriogram and found NO BLOCKAGE. Apparently the calcification that they saw was on the outside of the artery. So there was nothing they could do but back out and make him lay flat for 6 hours, yuck. But he definitely had another heart attack, that their taking care of with meds. And the Dr. said that he can probably come home tomorrow. No easy fix for his gut problems.
Love to all,
Candy

Two updates. First, and most important, Jim posted on teh email list today, so he's at least back home.
Second, we *finally* have a prepped head in our possession, so progress can finally start on getting the engine back together!
Stay tuned, we'll be posting progress shortly!

Well, I was going to slap the head on tonight after work, but one missing head nut washer stopped me from torquing the head down, lol. They have been laying around long enough that one walked away, or else I didn't count them when I ordered them, lol. Oh well, I'll have one in the morning and will try and get most of the engine work buttoned up tomorrow and this weekend.

I have a list of small parts(screws, clips, etc) that Scott is going to look for in his parts warehouse (garage), which are holding me up from finishing the engine. Nothing major though, if we can't come up with something, then I will put a post up with what we need.

Did not find the SS fuel lines but I may have fond the plug wires. headlight motor boot, and a couple of other little pieces. Let me know if this stuff needs to be shipped to you guys.

We are down to a few nuts and bolts, for the most part, so I might see what I can grab from Joel this weekend, and go through my parts stash as well. It looks like I am out of town next week as well (...sigh), but am hoping to get the parts to Karl before I head out.
The list of stuff we are looking for (in no particular order):
Radiator coolang fan shroud screws/washers (Joel?)
Power steering reservoir to pump line (Will get new one)
Power steering reservoir cap (I may have one)
PS belt (Will get new ones)
Alt/AC belt (Will get new ones)
One end plug for spark plug wire (or do we need all of them, Karl? I have at least one set of plug wires that should work)
Fuel injector wire retaining clips (Joel?)
Top cover to air filter housing (Joel?)
Clips for coolant reservoir (I have these)
Passenger front fender protective molding (Chris Blazer?)
Fuel lines (Should we look at Pauerman lines or Rennbay? Karl, advise on this one)
Anything else? It looks like we are getting close here, and I am proud to say that we have done most of this without touching the original contribution fund yet. I will update the expense sheet before long, but I am hoping we can use that money to make a decent contribution to John D's RennWish fund for future projects.
