Default Feeler Thread- 944 N/A

Disclaimer: This is NOT a for sale thread, I just want to know how much my car is worth.

I have a 1984 944, and i would like to know about how much its worth. I want to get a 951 to replace my current. Heres some facts:
1984 944 w/ 94,000 miles, with loads of options (no options sticker so i dont know about stuff like an lsd) cruise control, AC, headlight washer, hatch wiper, gold crest covering glovebox keyhole, kyb shocks, 21.5 front swaybar, rear swaybar (dont know size), and script seats. Thats about all i can think of.
Exterior is great straight body, with only a couple door dings, a couple of scratches that have been painted, and some rock chipping on hood. Paint is in great, im guessing prevoius owner had it garaged most of its life. Has cookie cutters.
The interior is brown with porsche script seats. The interior is pretty good there were some tears on the drivers seat but i repaired those. The passenger seat is in fantastic condition and so are the rears. I am planning on replacing the carpet with world upholsterys and new matts form Lloyd's. The dash has a cap on it so i dont know the condition of it. Other than the carpet which ill replace i would say the interrior is in great shape.
The engine is what i have finished working on. Just finished a rejuvination and i dropped the so its pretty clean. I replaced all the oil seals, belts, clutch, Isv, all vacuum lines, O2 sensor, checked all electronics like afm, tps, and they all work great. Did a tune up like rejuvinate K&n air filter. The engine runs great and only has 94,000 miles on it.
All the elctronics work great except cruise control, which i think is the computer. I replaced a lot of little stuff like power antennea, new blaupunkt front speakers, blaupunkt head unt, stainless steel brakelines, and other stuff.

This would be a great car for someone that wanted a relialible little 944. Like i said i really want a 951 so a trade would be wonderful. For the 951 i am looking for a cheap car that can be pretty easily fixed up, i dont mind if it doesnt run just not a car that i need to rip apart the block. How much do you think i could get a 951 like this for?

Now i am rambling so i should stop now.
-Thanks, Andy

Your 944 is worth between $2500 and $4000, with higher prices being seen in the spring.

If you think your 944 is nice and reliable, bend over if you're thinking about a 951. There are no cheap 951s, the $5000 cars will consume $5000 in maintenance and repairs. The $10000 car will only consume about $2000.

what???? 5K is two rebuilt motors and a set of visor clips. Quit going to the dealer man!!! My dad has put about 3500 into his, the engine was in boxes and the block was trash. We picked up another motor for the block but it was scored as well. Ended up parting down an 87 NA for the block and I built him a motor from top to bottom.

so i guess my 5500 951 will end up costing me like 4500 then right? Tell that to shawnof the dead who just paid 12k+ for his car and now needs 5k in repairs...it can go either way. Do your own work!

Really?..........You must have your own machine shop in the back yard, or close and cheap "connections".

That, or, your definition of "rebuild" is FAR, from mine.

A rebuilt 944 engine means new clutch, belts, rollers, and seals. NOT honed walls new pistons and the traditional stuff.

Btw pictures up soon charging camera battery.
