Default What are 15x7 and 15x8 Fuchs wheels worth?

I am thinking about selling a set of 15x7 and 15x8 Fuchs wheels but am not sure what to price them at. They will also come with tires that are 215/60/15 but one of them will probably need to be replaced. They aren't high quality tires. Roadhugger Radial GT-D
The 2 rear wheels have a little curb rash and the paint is kind of dull but the rim half still has a nice finish. The front wheels are pretty clean with one of them having a small scratch on the outer rim half. Paint again is kind of dull. Overall I would rate them about a 7 out of 10.

Another option that I was thinking about was trading someone for 2 15x7's for my 2 15x8's and maybe some cash. What do you think?

What were the condition of your wheels that you sold on Ebay? That has alot to do with pricing. Thanks.

Am I safe to say $750 for the 4 wheels with tires and centercaps is a fair price?

Just get some spacers.... made out of antimatter....

If you want to make your Fuchs look better, at least for a nice picture for your ad, try applying Vaseline lotion to the black part of the wheel. It really works.

I forgot to mention that these wheels came off a 1985 Porsche 944 so it is the early offset. I test fitted these on my 1988 and it actually fits but there is a chance that the tires may rub my fenders unless I install lower profile tires on the wheels. The wheelset fits flush right out to the edge of the fenders on my late offset 944. I was thinking about keeping this set and use it for autocross but since my engine needs a rebuild, I think I need the money to pay for that so that is why I am considering selling these.

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't want people to think they are cleaner than they really are. If I keep them, I would tape it off and give it a light spray of semi-gloss black and polish out the rim halves.

Going price is between $650 and $750 for a set of four - round and true non-concours condition. This is roughly what George at 944Ecology sells them for. If you're in the market he's a good starting place...faster and more dependable than Ebay crap shooting. George sold me four 15x8's two years ago for $750, very positive transaction. Wheels were as described, arrived in a timely fashion, well packed.

Dan,
On average, fuchs are worth more than double phone dials. Of course, if they were the magnesium cup phone dials, then that would be a different discussion.

IMO and from what I've seen the hierarchy of stock 944 wheels goes something like this:

Lowest
Cookie Cutters
Phone dials
turbo phone dials
15" fuchs
16" turbo fuchs
Highest

Prices range from pretty much nothing up to around $1000+ for a set of 951 16" fuchs

How much, on average, are the turbo fuchs worth if they are in pretty good shape?

Well over 1000, no caps or tires.

You want something even better? How about late offset Fuchs? I read somewhere that Porsche only made like 104 of them (26 sets). I could be mistaken, but I do know a set of those wheels would be worth more than many members' cars.

Jeese, my 15" Fuchs and turbo phone dials are probably worth more than the car.

Now this is just me, but with shiney new aftermarket 16x7 & 16x8 Fuchs lookalikes available for $230-$260.... why would one spend a similar amount for a 20+ year old 15" Fuchs?? But, this is just me....

The real fuchs are very light weight and strong. This applies to most replica wheels, they may but a good quality, but they are copying the design and not the weight.
