here is my thoughts: I had an 84 car that leaked like crazy if the car was parked on an uphill slope. No leak at all when parked on a downhill slope. If I parked uphill (like 10 deg. angle) there would be 1" of water in the rear footwell. I was thinking it was coming in the door or maybe the QUARTER PANEL WINDOW. maybe you could remove the rear speaker cover below the rear window and watch for water. Do you park on a level surface?

not sure if this has been mentioned...
but have you checked the DOOR wether shield ?

inside the door card is a moisture panel, if this is torn or not presnt water will leak into the rear.
the moisture seal directs watre away from the inside of the car into the door and out through the holes, so also check the DOOR drain holes

bet you thats it !
