Default '86 944 for sale, turbo

If you are interested, email me for pics. I will take some tomorrow. Alyalko@gmail.com. Or if you have any questions, email will be best. I check that much more than the forum.

1986 944 “crystal green metallic”
$6000
130k

The good:
944 turbo engine…’86 70k rebuilt head at 60k
Greddy electronic boost controller
Koni fully adjustable yellow shocks all around
250# springs
2 sets of wheels
Stock 15” phone dials, some scratches, F: some crappy tire 205 R: yokohama 225
17” boxster twists, perfect, Yokohama Es100 F:215 R:255
Side rockers, side skirts
Rear valance off of a 944 turbo
968 19mm adjustable rear sway bar
Weltmeister 28mm front sway bar
Gauge A pillar, driver side, boost and water temp.
Indeglo gauges
911 shift ****
Turbo timer(comes with car but not yet installed)

The bad:
I’m taking the exhaust off to sell to a friend will put original turbo downpipe and cat on but car will need cat back, or I can give you the cat back and muffler I have but the muffler will need to be welded on

There is a fairly large dent in the driver side front corner, right near the light, the light works though.

There is a small paint chip in the front valance where a rock hit on the highway.

The driver side seat has 2 rips in it.

Horn stopped working, I have one but haven’t installed

Odometer stopped working a little while back, but doesn’t really matter since very little on the car still has the same mileage as the body

Lets in some water in the back because the tubes under the pegs are not attached, will need to attach and probably adjust the pegs so that the hatch locks and is able to unlock with the button

No AC

Interior:
Tan interior, I’d say it’s a 6, driver side seat has 2 rips, and the carpet in the back isn’t in great shape.

I have full set of black carpets for the car that will come with the car

Exterior:
Could use a paint job. Color is rare but definitely faded. Mirrors and sun roof especially.

No rust except the front valance where a rock hit it

Overall:
Car is a fun sleeper, just as fast as turbo, if not faster due to less weight with No AC and manual steering and shorter 3rd – 5th gears. Electronic boost controller allows you to dial in any power you want, there is no aftermarket engine management system so going too far above stock is probably not a good idea.(12psi) allows you to dial in less in the rain so you don’t get yourself in trouble. Fun car, I’m moving to the city and wont be able to enjoy it much

I don't see a power steering fluid reservoir. Did you install a manual rack?

OK, so I can't read. Does the fact that I have 5 broken ribs and am on heavy meds get me off the hook?

Haha, yeah, I know that feeling. For a while I had both a 944 and a 968... and it was confusing. The 6th gear thing wasn't that bad, I somehow always remembered when I had 5 and when I had 6. It was the different Reverse positions that always got me.

I'd get in the 968, put it into 6th, and expect to back-up. Then I'd get in the 944, put it in 1st, and expect to back-up. Sigh.

That's a really sweet car - if only I wasn't so far.
