FS: 1983 944 w/ factory manual steering, new Konis $1500 OBO (REDUCED)
For Sale:
1983 Porsche 944 - I'll take $1500 OBO.
Update: I just checked my oil today and it was "chocolate milk", so the headgasket or oil cooler seals have just recently gone bad (within the last couple of weeks) No oil in the coolant, however. Thus i've substantially decreased the price.
Update: Also selling my 951. See https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-944-951-968-forum/334657-fs-1986-944-turbo-951-5500-obo.html
The Good:
The Bad:
This was my first Porsche and I had alot of fun working on it, but I'm moving across the country and can't take two Porsches with me! PPI at your expense is encouraged!
Please contact me via email (ckathens@gmail.com) or at (408) 646-0283 (cell).
I'm not really sure what the market is like for this car so I'll take the best offer over $2500. Keep in mind that there are lots of nice interior parts (like the seats, dash, etc..) that you could sell if you're making this into a spec car.
Car is available for inspection in San Francisco, CA.
NOTE: Car MUST be sold by 03/16/07, as I will be moving that day.
Thanks,
-Steve

He said his price, and honestly, if I was into Porsches as much as my brother I would ****** this. Too bad i don't even have driveway space for my own cars.
Steve, good luck with the sale, and I forgot to email you back, but I'll see you two and say goodbye (for now) in person then.

Driveway space... HAH! Our cars occupy 20% of all parking spots on our whole block! THE GERMANS ARE INVADING!

Update due to reduced price and headgasket or oil cooler seals failure. ARGH!
Someone take this car off my hands and give it a good loving home! There are so many good parts on it and it really would make a great base for a Spec944 car.

It's not THAT expensive to ship the car! I got a quote for $450 to ship it from San Francisco -> Minneapolis. If you're interested, we may be able to work something out. PM me or email me!

I thought we long ago established that you don't buy a house unless it has sufficient garage space for your P-car collection. 2 944's calls for AT LEAST 2 garage spaces. I hereby suspend your move until you find a more suitable habitable location.
You will await my orders to move in ONLY once you have proven with photographic evidence that your two deutschmobiles will be safe from the weather.
