Haha, you responded fast! I just decided to wait until Roger's car is ready. Jason's new 944 is still being put back together too.
Bill, is your car still apart?

Yeah, bay area. I was thinking oakland to san jose to san francisco, but I just thought of this today so I had no solid plans. This was what I posted originally, because now everyone will be wondering:

It's been a while since I saw the gang, and there's some new people/people I haven't met on here. Let's hang out in the country and maybe grab some pizza or tacos or something.
I'm just aiming for a gtg with hanging out, eating, and some driving around scenic roads. It will be sort of a tour of really beautiful roads and country. Obviously my preference is 924/944/968, but I'd be glad to see any form of Porsche (except the Cayenne). I'm thinking on May 26 (saturday) I will be in some location (a meeting place, to be set later). I don't want any nonsense or bologna. If you're going to abuse the local roads, don't come. I will be driving slow and enjoying myself. If you want to drive fast, you'll have to set your own pace and go in front of me. Or better yet, don't come! There will be other runs, other days, and you can always set up your own run. I want to cruise in style surrounded by other stylish cars.
Because of past events, I'm a bit nervous about organizing a gtg but I think if we all understand the point of this gtg we'll be OK. I just want a norcal rennlist day, with organized socializing and eating. Your driving style is your decision, and your consequences are yours alone.
OK so if you fancy a cruise, post up. Current or previous Porsche owners only, please. Remember, the point is socializing about porsches so if you've never had one I don't really see the logic.

For the record, my car is still apart. The head should come back from lindsey sometime this week, then I need to figure out if I'm going to get new headers or turbo or anything, order the rest of the reassembly parts, clean the engine bay and I'm good to go. I've been distracted by interior stuff recently - I finally finished the front speakers yesterday, still need to do the rears and figure out what hu I'm going to use.
Then all I have to do is fix the shifter, brake lines, clutch master and slave, etc. I'll probably have a work party once I get all the parts.
I'd be up for doing something though, but I'd either be riding with someone or driving one of the non-porsches.

What about an oyster run up to Tomales Bay? We could get a few boxes of oysters, mussels and clams and fire up a grill.

There are some good roads up there if we stay off of Hwy 1 and it's a bit closer for the Sacto crew.

Yeah oysters sound good! And I guess a leisure run like this is better for people whose cars are broken - an excuse to drive sanely with the spare car.
OK let's tentatively say May 26. Bring your P-car if you can, and if not just bring w/e. Or ride with someone. We can hit up the shellfish or whatever else we feel like. As long as it's something I don't eat all the time.

Keep me updated, I might be interested. Of course, I only have a 91 Cressida up here, so I'll need to bum a ride with someone.
Arash... are you still interested in the 931? It's gathering dust.
