Default Bulk Buy - Cables Ties for Bulkhead/Firewall + Other Places

As part of my general tidy-up of the engine bay I plan to order some of the speciality cable ties used all over the 944. These are the reusable black ties that fit over the 5mm studs on the bulkhead and elsewhere. Most of these get broken during maintenance and I counted 18 on the car so far.

I contacted my local opc (brahman in FL) and these are still available part #443.971.850.A at $6.45 each, yes that's right six dollars and fourty five cents!

I have found them online at www.digikey.com for $0.30 each part #PLST50SC-D30-ND, but I have to buy 500 (about $170 with shipping and tax). They are a non-stocked item but I contacted them and they said they could get them in two weeks. I shall keep 50, if anyone is interested in purchasing some of the excess in lots of 25 let me know. I shall charge actual cost and shipping only (usps priority w/dellivery confirmation). Payment will be by PayPal.

Datasheet attached: Here

You can put me down for 50. Let me know when and how you would like payment. I have been looking for those for awhile after pulling my harness of.

Thanks

Mark me down for at least 50. The damn things rip off the studs far too easily.

You may want to even contact some of the parts/dismantler places to see if they would be interested in buying some from/through you. Everyone wants these things but the only way to get them is through the dealerships (till now), so you could potentially make some money from this. Orat least do a good service to the 944 community.

I'll take 50 as well. Thanks!

BTW -- don't we need the blessings of John D for this group buy?

Sorry John, seems like I might have jumped the gun here and needed to get the go ahead from you first. My mistake - newbie. However, this isn't really a group buy. I will purchase 500 myself and then resell my own stock at cost. I have no affiliation with digikey and am not making money on the deal. Forgiven?

Looks like only 75 are unspoken for.

I sent an email to John, hopefully this post will be ok as there seems to be a lot of interest.

I shall put the order in on Friday, this will give everyone who may want these a few days to catch the post. I make it 400 so far in a few hours, so maybe I shall need to order 1000. With the lead-time I was quoted, I should be posting to everyone before the end of the month.

Just checking, 25 would only end up costing $7.50 plus shipping?
