Default Fuel level sender

I'm trying to find the fuel level sender to fix the sticky gauge problem. I plan just to clean the connections up a bit. So where is the stupid thing?

Thanks in advance.

If you need a new fuel sender cap and seal, I have a pair that I can ship.

Changed mine to a brand new one $$. Made zero difference on the gauge. My problem must be somewhere else.

try cleaning the grounds for the instrument cluster - for 85.5+ cars, there a whole bunch of brown ground wires terminating under the dashtop just about above the driver's left knee. Just remove the 10MM bolt, clean off the lugs with a little sandpaper and re-install. See the post https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-944-951-968-forum/375422-cleaning-grounds.html for a ground wire schematic. Worth cleaning those ground points.
