Default Window Guides- one fell off.. how to replace?

My window was all messed up so I took the door panel off and found that the rear most window guide was laying at the bottom of the door.

The problem is I don't know where it goes...? It looks like it is supposed to splide on but I cant figure out where?

I will take pictures and post them.

TIA

Alex

Black stuff, I don't know. But I'm pretty sure if this is what I think it is, it just slides in and bolts on from the bottom. I had this come out when I was putting on new door handles.

Should go in the back of the door (part of the door closest to the latch), standing upright, the guide rail should have a bolt on the very bottom. This bolts into the bottom of the door. If this is the front guide (which it looks like now that I take a better look), I would just try sliding it in and trying to find out what it attaches to. Of course, I'm only guessing here, I'd probably wait a bit until someone with more window knowledge than me comes along.

Btw, who is that in your avitar? My ex has a picture that looks just like her on her desktop, but I never bothered asking her who it is.

That's the metal tray that the window rests in. Those two slider sections on it roll on the two sets of small wheels that are on the window actuator. The window is supposed to be glued into this tray using some type of adhesive (black epoxy potting material, I think?) Just to be sure, is there a metal piece glued to the bottom of your window glass?

No, the tray separated itself from the glass. When I went back out I figured it out. God that is a PITA to get on!

I got it on good enough even though it is barely in the tray. At least it's closed haha. Ill be able to drive it to work tomorrow I guess. No door panel

So what sort of adhesive is it that I need? Would regular epoxy work?

Do I glue the rubber to the metal tray or the rubber to the glass or both or what?

JV is right...
You should be able to use any good glue. Since the glass is on the top and scissor arms on the bottom (in those two grooves) gravity should do most of the work... which makes me wonder how the crap that thing fell off in the 1st place....

check out Pelican Parts tech diagrams - great shots and index - lots faster than searching on PET for the part number too! Here's the diagram for the window regulator

Yeah I pretty much got it to the point where now I just need to get it back into the tray properly. Its proving to be a royal pain.

Thanks for the help guys.
