Looks like everything will work out well, got the car back tonight and just needs a little sprucing up, will look up some places to eat in Lake Lure-Chimney Rock.

Can't wait to see everyone.

BTW, my house will have a black 940 Volvo in the drive way and a silver Ford 500, there are two drive ways, you are welcome to park in either, the 944 will be in the garage.

Spidey, Becca and I are back too, and the horses have been fed.

A wonderful day and thanks to the host and hostess for the great roads and good food.

I just got home also...a lot of driving today. There's not one piece of flat ground or straight road on that whole drive If you looked in the dictionary for the definition of hairpins turns these roads would be the perfect example.
I've got some pics but they didn't turn out so well. As you can see everything is on a slant...
A big THANKS to Richard & Emily for the great diner & deserts.

It was good to see everyone again.
awesome run and a perfect fall day!
i dont think it could have been any better.
Let's put this down as an annual event.

p.s. (Fernando & Peter)

what did you think about the road we drove (SC-14) during the U-turn back to 74? i think it was an unexpected treat - too bad it was dark. You gotta love gps.

That road was also great! But since it was dark I wasn't quite as willing to push it. Plus I was getting a bit exhausted on the drive home.

But in any case that drive out there was TOTALLY worth it. I forgot how capable these cars are. And my car did not disappoint. I'm also happy about the lower gearing of the S2 as it helped me keep up with the Turbos and the V-Tec monster!

Peter and Spidey - I did hit 2 out of 5 on the cash five drawing...If you two still want a share of the winnings let me know how I can divide a $1.00 jackpot !!!

Rich and Emily - thanks for being great hosts! We WILL be back to explore some more of those roads!

I'll post my pics up later today - I've gotta go get all that brake dust of my wheels now!

Well here are my photos. Unfortunately it seems I had set up with an incorrect mode so most of the pictures are off in terms of their color.

The last photo is a picture I took with my cell phone of Richard's dogs. I couldn't resist posting that one!

It was wonderful seeing all of you guys. Emily and I had a blast and were very happy to have you guys up here. I will try and do this again next year and hit some different roads.

Fernando, Em. says thanks for the photo of the dogs, it is the best one that we have.
