Default 944 NA tow point

hello,

I need to flatbed my 87 NA. Where do I tell the tow truck guy to attach the tow line hooks.

Thanks!

i towed my car with a rope tied around the tie-down strap behind my van for about 2 miles after my slave cylinder went out, no problems...

There is a loop on the front driver's side frame where a tow hook can be attached. Your manual will have this info.

There's a couple tie down points that are fairly obvious when you look under the front of the car, you can carefully pull on one of those. The problem is they are higher than the bottom of the valence and if he has to pull hard it will flex the valence and possibly crack the paint. There's a couple other things you can do, if he has the right sort of hook you can use the hole in the bottom of the bumper where it attaches to the bumper shock and pull on that, but don't tie it down with that. Or remove the bumper and pull from a bumper shock.

I had to tow the early car a mile or so when the refrence sensor failed - I poped the hood and tied on to the strut brace.

If you just have to pull it up onto the flat bed, you could probabaly even use the rear engine lift hoop.

sometimes the tow truck kit includes a special adaptor that fits into the front toe points, but sticks the rope attachment lower to the ground.

I had mine towed, and he used a HUGE 3 prong hook and pulled it from the cross-member right next to the frame rail... not sure if that's best or not.
