Ok you San Diego County 944 drivers.
Looks like Saturday at 2:30 pm at Miramar Speed Circuit indoor karting track. I called today and Dirk said there was nothing special going on that afternoon. Let's start building up the local 944 network. Bring as many 944's, 924S's, 951's as you can. Call everybody you know.
The Speed Circuit is a cool place if you don't know about it. I've raced there several times on Wednesdays with Chris Boyer from KGB and I've run 3 100 or 200 lap enduros with different teams of guys. I always have an absolute blast at that place! Too bad they don't have a Starbucks inside there.LOL!

Kevin,
Good to see you again. Sorry about your finger. But quit being a wussy....you have 9 others just like that one. Glad to push some street parts to you and you're very welcome for the help with the blown water hose. I'm not sure why it chose to fail just as you got to my race shop??! Maybe it knew to hang on until you arrived? It could sense that there were Porsche 944 friendlies around?
Again, glad to help out. Attitudes are contagious....pass it on.

Spencer,
Nice to meet you at the shop today.
You guys, Spencer was looking around my shop like a kid in a candy shop! LOL! We had a good time sharing some 944 enthusiasm and he left with a more complete and correct car. I dig that Mohagany color! Very rare! Too bad I didn't have more brown interior parts.

For those of you who don't know, I'm not a repair shop. I build racing 944's for rent and for sale. So please don't ask me to change your clutch or tension your timing belt. I'm not licensed to do that stuff. Though I'll certainly help you out all I can with advice, tools, or whatever.
Empire,
Careful with installing a turbo front suspension. There's some compatibilty issues there......

I'll hit up the 944 guys on my "Ice Cream Social" list. There are almost 30 944 guys on it! Let's see who shows up this first time.......

Its just the body work, I already found out turbo suspension won't work- thanks for looking out for me, though.

Yeah Andy, we got the picture.

I'll hit up the 944 guys on my "Ice Cream Social" list. There are almost 30 944 guys on it!
Why don't they do Renn Tim? Seems like a smoother pipeline to gtg's.

Unhappy

Hey guys, just got the bad news from Tim about the 944 gathering on Sat.
its been cancelled.

"Well, bad news in the form of up to 5" of rain on Saturday. I don't want 944 guys driving with the idiots out there and we can't hang out outside and check out the cars if it's pouring. We'll cancel and reschedule asap.
Please alert the other guys you know and please jump onto Rennlist and let people know, too. I'll be away from my computer today, but wanted to get the word out asap."
Thanks a ton,
Tim Comeau

I'm very sad to hear of the cancellation. Maybe next weekend?

Tim - depending on the weather tonight I might be in Grossmont, if so I'll give you a call.

Next Saturday is the 12th. I'm game for trying it again. It sucks to postpone the gathering, but it also means more time to meet and make others aware.
So what do you guys say? Next Sat at 2:30 pm?
Sound off.
