I did a very similar process with my first 944. It's fun!

You should have popped out the quarter windows, and removed the door seals and handles!

Looks great. That color will stand out at Porsche gtgs because it isn't factory, but close to some factory colors!

Looks sooper man! I didnt notice yer car though, I must have just missed it! Whens the next CF GTG? I like the way it sits, whats done to the suspension?

Did the hoodscoop on the 924 GT car on display motivate you? I was shocked to see it there!

You got skills with the paint... Ive got this ol euro bumper sittin around...

Car looks amazing, however it would look even better with the spolier paint and 968 handels.

I'm hoping mine comes out that good. I'll hopefully be painting it in a year or 2. I'll be practicing on my truck's hood in April. The Porsche just keeps getting pushed back and back...

Wow thanks a million guys!!!!!! Didnt think I would get so many great comments in just a couple days! You guys rock!

I'll try my best to answer most of the questions that some of you guys had...

Thanks! It was definitely a learning experience... not exactly difficult, but somewhat tedious and time consuming. There are a few imperfections as always for a first time painter, but Im pleased with the overall outcome!

haha I took a couple of yours too!

I thought about it for a while... but due to the fact that I set my goals to get it done by the Rolex, I would have been at a much worse time crunch than I already was. I like the idea though, but its a lot of work!

haha thanks! Yep, that's my dads project...

Thank you! It took a few hours each day for no more than a week bondoing and sanding everything down. Very tedious process, but paint preperation makes all the difference!

Ha thanks man, I got the car in pretty late on Saturday, and really only parked in the Porsche corral on sunday. So Im sure a bunch of people missed it.

Suspension just has front coilovers and some tweaking on the rear trailing arms. I'd really like to get my hands on some 951 torsion bars though.

I did check out that 924GT at Rennsport Reunion, that thing is a beast!!!

the hood scoop I got for free from some awesome guy on a bmw forum. Ive debated whether to put it on or not for the last 6 months, and I think after painting the car, I think Im going to do it.

nice!! What time did you pass by? I might have been sleeping when I was in that spot.

Hey, you should consider coming down for our next 944 get-together here in Orlando. Should be around the tail of February.... how bout it?

I think I took that picture at about 5:30 sunday morning. Pm when you have the get together I might have time. I drive from Pensacola to Tallahassee every weekend so I'm usually halfway there.
