Default Troublesome tires...

I have cooper zeon 25/55/R16 tires on a set of 928 wheels. (The flat dish style wheel)
I was given a brand new set of Toyo 225/65/R16
Will they fit?

you made a typo on the first tire size - what did you mean, 235, 245, ?

They will fit, whatever size it is, it just might get stretched or whatever. If the new ones are wider than the old ones, that might be good to a point. What are the widths of your wheels?

The coopers are 205/55/R16
I think 205 is the height, 55 is width, and 16 is the wheel...
so they should fit right? The toyo's will just be a little taller and wider

going up to a 225, you'd want to stay to about a 40 series. The 60 series is almost 2.5" bigger diameter, and a 65 series tire will be even taller... it just won't look right.

The width is right, but go with a 225/45 on that car. I run a 225/50 15 on mine. You'll need the shorter sidewall for the 16' rim though.
