That car costs more, its worth more, its faster, its better built, and cleaner than 99.999 percent of the 944s on this list or any other list. Some people are haters because their car don't even come close to what this guy has done.

speaking of not stock, they are the same people asking about koni v bilstein, which sway bars, etc.
that car is a work of art, and like you said, is probably in better shape than 99.999% of the cars here. Kudos to him, and kudos to those that create renegade cars. If I had the skill and patience to tackle a job like that, I would. Instead I admire and envy the workmanship of those that can do it, and have done it. I would love a LT or LS under the hood of my S2.

I think that thing is awesome, its like that lifted 4x4 944, something different and very cool
I just wished he had some vids of the car, would be nice to see him do some wheelies, but I kinda doubt it
I had a question though, in the back where rear seat was, are those coilovers? if so, why? and are they attached to rollcage? is that safe?

Most of the time, I just cant understand some of you guys. It seems that almost daily theres a car thats pulled from some for sale ad or gallery, placed here, and bashed, flamed and ridiculed...... I just dont see the point.
Sifting through all these kind of threads to get to the good info or questions is getting hard to do
I couldn't agree more. We reed to relable the 924/931/944/951/968 forum as the "ebay/craiglist/makefunofeverycar/yetmycarisashatbox/IfixedmycarwithHomeDepotparts" forum.
For what it is worth I like the drag racing 944. I think it looks great.

I personally like the car! It looks awesome and I bet it performs the same. If I saw it at the local track I would bow down and probably kiss a tire (if the owner would let me close enough). It is in far better shape that my rig and is crazy fast with a 500+ hp big-block and only weighting 2100lbs... The color is sweet. I am not much of a drag racer (it takes talent to turn) but I do know when respect is due and to sum up this car with one word… Dam#holy$hitFu*kthatsafastcar
I have said this before... where is the love? Everyone likes something different and thats, if I remember correctly, how the company of Porsche was started....

Only a true 944 lover would put that kind of money and energy into a 944 body as a prefabricated chassis drag car with a fiberglass shell would be cheaper to build. It probably cost that guy $50k to $70k to build that car depending on what is in the motor/tranny. Everything pretty much had to be custom on that 944. The rear is a 4 link setup and everything has to be NHRA certified to the speed/time your car can do. the car is either certified for 8.90 or 9.90 index depending on whether he ran that car SG or SC. Lets put this in perspective. I did 1/4 mile in 12.01 with a katana 600 at 126mph. A GSXR 1100 can probably do about 10 seconds with modification. The car has to have more than 500hp for a modified big block to do the 1/8 in 5.60. Its probably closer to 800+ hp. No doubt the car will do a wheelie with 2100 lb (thus the wheelie bar in the back).

One of my persistant car fantasies (as soon as I win the lottery, and after I buy a GT-3) is to build a "pro street" 928 (tubbed, blower, you know the drill) and take it to the PCA Parade - just to watch the jaws drop!

Yup. I was just going to say that it looks cleaner than almost any other 944 I've ever seen, whether I care for it or not (I don't, but you have to respect the work).
