Default Paranoid?

OK, here's the deal, I've had my 944 for 3+ years now, when I bought it I had bad oil leaks around the oil pan, I replaced the gasket, installed a crank scraper and an oil trap in the pan. I had an oil pressure drop to 1 bar about a week after, I immediately shut her down and trailered her home, where I removed everything and found the seal around the pick-up tube failed, I replaced it but still couldn't get pressure, I replaced the oil pump with a late model used pump and got pressure. However, since then my car would take 15-20 seconds to build oil pressure when not run for a day or so, I never moved the car until pressure built, I've since rebuilt the head and all the front engine seals, it still leaks slightly from the rear balance shafts.

OK that's the history, now my last autoX was the 9th of March, since then my oil pressure has built up immediately after start-up, like it did before I changed the pump and the pan gasket. But what I'm really worried about though is that my oil pressure guage needle wobbles a good .5 bar or more when the car is warm at idle. Oil is good, I'm thinking my rod bearing is on it's way out. I don't have any other indications though.

So am I being paranoid or am I about to spin my bearing?

Thanks,

might just be fluctuating idle changing the load on the oil pump

I think there was a thread started a few weeks back on 'wobbly' oil pressure gauges

yea, I thought that too, but my idle is pretty stable, actually really stable. I was trying too see if I could see a correlation between the two but there isn't.
