Default Am I asking for trouble? (removing wiring 83' 944)

I'd like to remove the AC, stereo, glove box and cargo area lights, power mirrors, clock, etc. (you get the idea) and also the associated wiring.

I'm interested in doing this to simplify the wiring, lose some weight, and track some wiring issues. If there's time, I'd remove the carpet, door panels, and all interior trim....

Guess my question is, how much work am I getting myself into if I do this? Think stripped car retaining all lights, and the heater.....

BTW: just thinking aloud, not certain about all this.

it would be a lot of work. but if you manage to do it properly, it would be fantastic, as electrical problems on a 25 year old car are very likely. And remember to add fuses to the headlight motor (just like in the 1984 model)...

its a lot of work, but then again, simplifying wiring by removing unnecessary components could save a lot of troubleshooting later...

Im not certain that cutting up your wiring harness and rewiring part of your car will save you any troublshooting later?

Agree. You are going to save about 10 pounds. I would leave it be to be honest.
