Default Newest addition - Minerva Blue 931...Project

I picked this 1980 Porsche 924 turbo up on Saturday locally. It hasn't run since summer of '04 and the previous owner was a college age lady who worked on the car herself.

I am planning on flushing out all the fluids, blowing out the fuel lines, changing the timing belt/tensioner pulley and then seeing what happens. Would appreciate all the advice I can get. If I can get the car running I am thinking about taking the running gear off the 86 turbo parts car or 88 S parts car that Albert and I have and putting that on there. Even though about swapping in a 944 engine and late interior as well - comments?

Also - as far as I can tell this color is really rare - would appreciate pics of any other Minerva Blue 924s out there.

wow cool project!

rare or not, that color is awesome. The engine appears to be in decent shape though, it would be nice to get that thing running.

Holy smokes, that is going to be a project and a half. Keep the pics coming as you clean it up.

Well, I guess you can be assured you're going to have to put more into it than you paid for it. For that price it would be hard to pass up.

Nice pick-up. You can get more than that for the hood and the nose. I love the color.

The hood and the vented nose panel alone are worth 250$....
