For those of you enquiring about window stickers, sorry I don't have any of that kind of stuff but I do have an 89 issue of vw/porsche magazine with the road test of the S2 in the same color as mine. Unfortunately I am keeping this as a momento, unless of course somebody offers me $1000 bucks haha

P.S Tom, I got 11,500 canadian which is about 7200 U.S.. ouch

I see a pearl white RSX every morning on the way to work. It's one of the nicest looking Acuras out there! Agressive styling, nice wheels...all around nice looking car.

What color did you get??

Was it your car that was for sale for so damn long??? Sheesh, I kept on wondering what was wrong with it for it not to sell. Anywho, enjoy the new car until the p-bug bites again, cause believe me, it will bite (looks around suspiciously, very suspiciously.....)

Lemon, yeah that was my car..... sigh. The only thing wrong with it was the "high" mileage (227,000km) A lot of work had been done in the year and a half I owned it ($7500 in receipts from weissach) and btw, what's the latest on your car? are you still selling it?

Andy, I got the Desert silver metallic... it's the only model with a non-black interior which looks really classy. I pick it up next wednesday, so I'll let you all know what my impressions are then.

Out of pure curiosity, do the new RSXs still rev high at highway speeds. My 92 GSR did 4100rpms at 70mph. Very loud and somewhat annoying but after a few months you just get used to it.

Haven't had a chance to rev it that high yet unfortunately. The test drive I went on consisted of around the block sprints. It seemed very refined though. The salesperson revved it to redline in first and it didn't seem harsh or annoying so we'll soon see.

My buddy has a '02 desert silver metallic RSX...(not the Type S..) did you get a type S?

In comparison to my car its slow motion...
I didn't care for the shifter much either. I didn't drive it but I ran it through the gears from the passanger seat.

i've driven my friends 02 RSX (non type s) and i really liked the shifter thank you very much.. compared to my old 14 year old notchy junk that thing is a pleasure.. just clutch in and shift.. i have to do acrobatics with the clutch and accelerator to get a smooth shift.. B L E H!

oh.. and yea they do rev high at highway speeds... sucks..but so does my 944 so whatever..

-- oh yea -- i really am trying to get him to come to the next autox.. the next one we can both make it to...

Adrial, the RSX is no porsche by any means but as I said it is the perfect balance of reliability and performance IMO. It's no slouch either. At 7.7 seconds from 0-60 it's still faster than a 944 na hehe (I know I'm going to get flamed for this) The main thing is, I'm just tired of the over inflated cost of owning a 944 at this stage, and I'm really looking forward to being able to use regular unleaded again!

hmm... no flame but..
im pretty sure my 0-60 is faster than the RSX.. but more importantly..
instruction manual for RSX calls for 92 octane from what my friend told me.. not regular at all.. so i guess you should put the good stuff in, thats what they say to do
