Traded in the S2 for an RSX, have some stuff for sale

[quote] Both the s2 and RSX should be fair competitors. My bet?: The S2 wins off the line...on a roll, the rsx comes by the s2. I've driven both...but would love you hear your educated experience

I would wonder how a RSX would go by the S2 on a roll. I would think the S2 @ 207 lb-ft would cruise by the RSX @ 141 lb-ft.
Not talking from experience though, I don't think the RSX even exists in Australia.
Sam.

All GS-R/RSX-S models have been premium unleaded cars. The GS/LS/RSXs are "base models" and have taken regular.
Even with premium unleaded though my 92 GS-R got 38-40mpg on the highway. Quite incredible for the type of car. I went from Dayton to South Bend and back on one tank once.

Uh, 7.7 seconds. Thats hardly faster than an n/a. It depends on how you drive it I guess, cause various tests show different results (Porsche published shameful 0-60, motortrend recorded sub 7.7 sec). Also, we all know how stout the n/a is on a rolling start, its actually quite fast unless you're taking off the line. Its not a drag street bruiser by any means, but come on, realistically its not really a slow car at all, its just slow compared to the turbo and S2. Furthermore, I think it looks better and has a better overall feel than most modern Japanese "sports" cars. Not to mention its a Porsche.
Marooned- I agree, maintenance is a kick in the ***. I'm actually getting where I want with this car (cosmetically and mechanically), but I still plan to have a mid nineties bimmer 325is by September. The guy who buys my car is gonna be one lucky sumbitch. I just wish I could keep both. I'd buy low mileage (read very low mileage) 951 if I ever came across one, but it'd have to be in Lemon Yellow(impossible). I guess I'll have to wait till I'm full out of school, then I'll consider a 993 (in yellow of course)

I didn't mean to suggest that the 944 was slow by any means. I guess I should have said that they were pretty close from 0-60 (which btw isn't all that counts obviously) good luck on your search for that "is" That is one nice car.
