Thank you for this post, Techno Duck! Almost 5 years later and it's still useful.

I am completely missing #'s 2 and 7 above. In fact, for #7, I don't even have that extra bracket there (the bracket that the ground wire is actually bolted to).

Any idea where those cables terminate on the other side? Just to the battery or do they go somewhere else? And what's that goofy yellow knot thing in both pictures?

My 86 doesn't have those grounds either. Pretty sure that's normal.

#2 and #7 seemed to only be on the late offset cars. Infact it is not even an important ground, i believe they are only for the brake pad wear sensors. ABS equipped cars (my '88 does not have ABS) have a round barrel type connector there.

As someone who just bought a 968 last week and highly suspects I need to clean all my grounding points, I'm resurrecting this thread to see if anyone who mentioned they saved the pictures (which no longer show up) could repost them?

@Techno Duck @alordofchaos - still have these pics anywhere?

Nice work, Jon -Beat me to it

Post is over a decade old and here we still are. Have probably gone through 3 computers over that time - couldn't find my original 944 folder (I may have archived it off to a DVD around 2010 or so) and could not find it

I've gotten lazy about organizing since i started using Everything - I was able to find a PDF on this laptop of this thread with the pics in it.
